Training to join the Army requires good mental preparation, so I have been looking for a book to help my mental aspect of my training started. This book I have found to be short, clear and concise. The book is to the point and goes over every worry and fear that I had while setting my goals. It goes over all the basic points to mental training such as goal setting and mindset and also goes over more advanced topics that I have yet to learn in depth.

If you are after a short but direct explanation of mindset and mental training without the long winded explanations and technical fluff, then I would give this book a read.

great read
Very simply read but doesn't provide you with the needed information to apply the techniques it says you need to have for mental training. The book describes what a person must do but doesn't tell you how to do it or give you the training techniques. There are far better books that do just that. If you're looking for a book on mental trying look towards Mark Divine's books "The Way of the Seal" or "Unbeatable Mind." These books will put you on the right direction to strengthen your mental toughness.
It's a lot of talking a round how important it is to workout physical, but what this book says and I agree on is that it's more or equal importance to train your mind. Now in the digital age it's more important than ever to master your brain.
This is a great book to build discipline and will-power to achieve all goals on wants to. The analogy the author has employed between physical training and mental training, really helps gain insight into the process of building mental strength. I love the focus on visualizations, self-regulations and focusing on the positive. Hits home the fact that change begins from within. It also takes a realistic approach of embracing failures and starting over when needed.
I have been looking for a book to help my mental training.I have found this book to be and concise and to the point.It's amazing how one can achieve great results just by trying these small tips and tricks. Mental training is the biggest aspect of your life ...if you can master your mind you can ,master anything.You feel, how you want to feel, and this book is about moulding what you want from a brain aspect. Precise words and witty examples. This is what I was looking for...)
Mental training is at least equal in importance as physical training and no physical training alone is enough to compensate for it. The author begins with objectives of mental training, four of them, and its rewards. Then she warns you to take control of your mental state, to set goas, to visualize and imagine, maintain confidence and composure, and so on. You have to master your emotional state, too, but never forget your physical state. What else this book has to teach you, you will have to find for yourself.
